About the Company
Green Cone Limited is an environmental company providing the Green Cone system and associated services to government agencies, local authorities, private sector contractors and individual customers worldwide.
The Green Cone system was patented in the USA and European Union in 1989. Green Cone Limited was established as a private company in 1991 and owns the intellectual property of the Green Cone system, together with the worldwide manufacturing and distribution rights.
Initial sales of the Green Cone were mainly to individual customers concerned about the environment, particularly in North America. However, over the past decade the environmental challenges posed by the growing global waste problem have become a high priority for most governments across the world. Green Cone Ltd was therefore relaunched in 2001 to focus on assisting government agencies and local authorities address the food waste problem. The relaunch coincided with the implementation of the European Union’s Landfill Directive, which requires member countries to dramatically reduce the amount of food waste disposed of in landfill sites.
Green Cone Ltd has the management, resources and experience necessary to work with public and private organisations that are developing and implementing integrated strategies to deal with municipal waste. The company has a network of trained agents and distributors to provide local support in all major countries using the Green Cone system.
